2017 maybe 2018 for me i know it should be sad to me but i really just don't care anymore
i'm not bitter about it or anything
haven't been "in love" since 2012 or so
the time I tried it in 2017, it was with my friend who just broke up with her boyfriend
and was trying to rebound off of me
i was bored and just didn't really care
felt like why not but i struggled to reciprocate
and she desparately clinging to some codependency she had lost
whereas me... just hanging out, might as well fuck
but after the first time i didn't want to do it again
there was a girl i was flirting with everyday for a few months online this year
she lives in the same city as me and i really liked her at first
but she would get so angry over nothing and was always liberal maxxing
i wouldn't even care about that but her.. for her it was never going to work
we don't have sex, sex is for hippies

I do blame myself. When my dad hit me I would always get an erection and I think it made him upset when he noticed one day. Hee locked me in the basement until my mom got home and then they argued all night. He didn't act the same towards me since that. I later worked out these issues through a combination of therapy and BDSM leather clubs. But I thought they made up with 4head kisses but it all went wrong. Thak

My dad used to kiss my mom on the 4head but a few years ago he ended up throwing her offf a bridge in Seattle. They were driving home after drinking at a party where they had an Argument. My dad stopped the car and went around to the passenger door and Dragged her out by her Hair. just Threw her off. (There is security footage of the whole thing but that is my Private Secret viewing.) When the cops asked him y he did it he said that he "Was sick of her bullshit." and that "The bitch couldn't even cook me one good meal." He tired of Panera Bread. HE THREW HER OFF!!!! DONT LET THEM KISS YOU ON THE 4HEAD

Do Odinists really think that the old, one-eyed god who hung nine days and nights on the windswept Æsc tree, sacrificing himself to himself, wouldn't smash on a big booty latina? Thunor himself was the offspring of a Giantess. If the ancients of northern Europe had a chance to enjoy foreign fruit, they absolutely would have unless they were retarded inbred faggots.
I agree that the old gods of northern Europe are intrinsically tied to European culture and anyone who has no respect for celebrating that shouldn't invoke them. But racial mixing is based.

That amount of info in a GDD doesn't seem like it makes sense unless you have to communicate your ideas to a team. In my case it's just me.
Also you have to be really confident in your idea. I find that how I imagine something will play and feel doesn't line up to how it actually plays and feels, so I have to pivot with every game to get it into something playable, and I don't want to plan too far ahead because of that. Maybe that is just inexperience at game design.
In any case, I've been working towards a more traditional health system, like Zelda. The energy charges are derived from food resources, and used like health recharges in Hollow Knight, or flasks in Dark Souls.

If you set a target for Advent, then maybe it will become easier to work on since you'll know what you want to turn it into. It could be something simple, like maybe a short dialogue-based game with some light action elements, or even simpler with something like the game Melon Journey. You can always go back and tweak the engine for a different game later too. But really, it sounds like you just need to make a decision about what this should turn into. Otherwise it will be an endless sandbox with no rules and no ending. Or in other words: Purgatory. And nobody is fond of Purgatory

> Do you have a design document for the game?
No. Originally I was modeling the game after UFO 50's Pilot Quest, so I felt like I had a good idea of what the game needed to function. But the closer I got to that goal, the more I felt like the game isn't a game I want to play or work on. So I started increasing scope to make it more interesting again and yeah, the truth is I only have a vague idea where I'm going with it. Different ideas are starting to blend together and I'm not sure what I'm making.
All my other games were so small that it felt silly to do it. Maybe it's time to do that.

Basically what it comes down to is that I don't want to have the up and down where it seems like the site is starting to take off, there's a couple returning posters, and then days later it's dead again for over a week. It calls me back in and then rug pulls me. Then I realize the whole time, I could have been doing something else.
Most people who don't use imageboards check out immediately because it's not their style. People that do use imageboards see that it's not the same as imageboard software they are used to and it makes them bitch and moan. So it's just not a meritted site. We're propping up a dead body that belongs in the ground.

I don't have an exact date yet, but I'm most likely going to be shutting down the board.
Something I've told myself for a while is that it doesn't hurt to keep it up. But it's a bit of sunken cost fallacy, because there's no benefit to keeping it up either. It was a cool thing I made but even if I don't work on more features for it, I have to maintain the server it's on. I have to keep up with CVEs. I have to install updates. And every ounce of energy that goes into this board is energy that is not put into my other projects. Another layer of this problem is that even if I leave it in the background while focusing on other tasks, it's eventually going to distract me and lure me back into working on it again, since that's just how I am.
I'm not just going to shut it off over night. I want to get it into a state where I can make static copies of the entire site and then preserve the archives. Keeping at least that as a memento online is how I'm going to justify the work I put into this thing and also turn away from it.
The blog at goeshard.org will stay up so I'm not going anywhere.

The site no longer exists but it spawned a child forum, zoklet.
That forum died, and it spawned a child, NiS. https://niggasin.space
I probably wouldn't have started with racial jokes in the title of the forum since it seems the effect is that people rarely post unless they are shitposting. But overall I like the freedom of the place and its a window into the world that used to be totse.com. I believe that's part of their identity anyway: formerly being an information resource for taboo topics, and now just being composed of shit posters that know each other from the past.
There's also this one, although I haven't looked at it much: https://newtotse.com/

It's pretty funny to mention these forums together since they are diametrically opposed philosophically but cover similar subject matter, especially relating to nostalgia for the old Internet.
I used to post on both, although I don't log in to Melonland much anymore. It's artistically interesting and worth a visit. But the whole site is positively infested by furries. To his credit, Melon never banned me for not fitting in, but I eventually awoke to realize that there wasn't much point to staying.
Agora Road is a lot more free. You can feel in every interaction that it's more natural communication compared to Melonland, which always feels like you have eyes evaluating how positive and happy you are. And even if no one steps in and removes you, which I can respect that, you feel bad for not shooting sunshine and rainbows out of your ass everyday. You know for yourself if that is something you're into or not. If that's you, no shame in it. It was made for you.
This is why Agora is ultimately my preferred nostalgia forum, although I think Melon is a great web artist. Agora is also infested with its own undesirable elements, like post-4chan retardation, a lot of religious users is a thing (not a problem exactly but), for some reason there is always someone who wants to mention femboys; but it's easy to just ignore the people that you don't want to talk to and only participate in threads that you do. Because of the relative freedom, Agora has a reputation that doesn't really match what the site is.

My favorite forums are old, but old can have downsides. A lot of times the community will have changed a lot from the past (Something Awful) or the users will be really bitter about the fate of their communities (&totse). From a new user's perspective, old can also mean more impenetrable.
Perhaps the best forums are just the ones that are so niche and the users are so fixated that its impossible for their core idenity to be lost.
I prefer forums that don't have huge documents of rules and mission statements, but that's a personal preference.

A reply to a thread was posted: I've uncovered Taylor Swift/Mr Beast Suicide Pact
I’m on to something big. I was going through some public posts by Taylor Swift and Mr. Beast and I am 100% certain the two of them have a murder-suicide pact. If you alternately take the first letter from each of their tweets over the past 6 months, it spells something:
“Vapid parasites reap what we sow. Death soon. 16 of you worthless peasants will die with us. Your reckoning comes. Chains, poison, razors. Our lives are meaningless. We end the misery next April. Our blood will rain on Honolulu. 81-88”
Most of this is self-explanatory but a few things need explaining. Obviously they have become woke as to what they are. “Vapid parasites with “meaningless” lives. That much is self evident but why 16 people, why April and what is “81-88”? And why Honolulu in Hawaii?
Next April will be the 81st anniversary of Hitler’s death. That’s the 81. And 88 is a common code for Heil Hitler because H is the 8th letter of the alphabet. So now we can be certain that they are white people.
And Honolulu, Hawaii? “HH” again!!! Also Honolulu has 8 letters. Another Hitler connection! It all started to come together.
It took awhile to figure out why 16 people would have to die with them. Then I remembered Columbine happened in April. 16 people died in Columbine (one was only recently related to wounds they sustained.) AND Columbine has 8 letters JUST LIKE HONOLULU (AKA HITLER).
So from what I can tell, in April 2026 Taylor Swift and Mr. Beast are going to Honolulu, Hawaii (HH) and they are going to take 16 people against their will (chains). They will poison the people and just to be certain they all die, they will slit their own throats with razors.
Also February is the Super Bowl.

it's really weird just to see these characters again ater a long time knowing nothing about them. Some of the things they made up to make it make sense work. It's not overly political, maybe a little. It seems like they have plans to develop characters which feel like a mix of people we know and people we don't (because of the time passage).

From that context, we might have already hit the "technological singularity" that it talks about.
For me what will either prove or disprove that is, when AI starts taking all the jobs, are we going to move towards Star Trek world or Blade Runner world?
If we can't shift gears at that point, then that is the singularity kind of.
